Spot flora and fauna in the Periyar National Park, backwater cruising on a traditional houseboat from Kottayam to Kovalam via Alleppey before ending the Goa and Kerala Tour in Trivandrum.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Goa-

As you arrive at the Dabolim Airport in Goa, our representative will provide you with an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in and rest for some time. The evening is free for you to partake in the activities of your interest and explore this 'Beach Capital of India' on your own. You can explore century-old Portuguese churches, hit one of the many floating casinos, experience Goa's amazing nightlife by visiting a nightclub, or just relax on the beach or at a beach shake.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Goa Churches-

After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Old Goa churches, covering Catherine's Church, Church of St. Francis Xavier, and Se Cathedral.

Start the day by visiting Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. This church was built to commemorate the Portuguese's victory over Goa's Muslim rulers. Admire the intricate carvings on the altars. Next, you head towards the Church of St. Francis Xavier, also known as The Basilica of Bom Jesus, to get a glimpse of the casket of St. Francis Xavier. This Catholic Church is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and displays Baroque architecture.

In the evening, drive to Miramar Beach and meet the fisherman at Dona Paula fishing village to know spine-chilling ghost stories. Named after Dona Paula Menezes e Souto Maior, a legendary character, the rocky beach is a great tourist attraction due to its scenic view.

Return to the hotel for a night's stay.

Day 3: Goa Beaches-

On the 3rd day of the Goa and Kerala Holiday Package, you are free to do things on your own. You can indulge in adventure and watersports, get pampered through an herbal Ayurvedic massage, and play on the beach. With breezy beaches and a bright sky, Goa offers ample opportunities to enjoy water sports like kayaking and other beach activities.

Spend the afternoon paddling along the mangroves, backwaters, and mini bays. If you want to try harder, go kneeboarding, delve deeper into the water, or enjoy scuba diving to explore underwater life. Finally, beat the waves of the Arabian Sea with windsurfing, a blend of surfing and sailing.

After the day's adventure, return to the comforts of your hotel and go to bed after dinner.

Day 4: Goa to Cochin-

On the 4th day of the Goa Kerala tour, savor breakfast and get transferred to the airport to board the flight to Cochin. Upon arrival, get assisted transfer to the hotel. After check-in and resting for a while, you can wander around the peaceful streets in Cochin or visit the market to buy cotton clothing and handmade souvenirs. Enjoy a cultural performance at the hotel before going to bed in the evening.

Day 5: Cochin-

Post breakfast, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Cochin that includes the Jewish Synagogue, Fort Cochin, Mattancherry Palace, and Chinese Fishing Nets. Start by visiting the Jewish Synagogue, a meeting place for the Jews since 1561 and a witness to the British colonial struggle.

Then, visit Fort Cochin, a seaside area adorned with Dutch, Portuguese, and British colonial architecture. Next, visit the burial site of Vasco Da Gama at St. Francis Church. Later, savor delectable Kerala cuisines at one of the many restaurants. In the evening, you will observe the working of the Chinese Fishing Nets, a unique fishing technique that creates an amazing view during the sunsets.

After exploring, come back to your hotel and spend a comfortable night.

Day 6: Cochin - Munnar (126 km / 4 hours)-

After breakfast, check out, and drive from Cochin to Munnar by road. Upon arrival, check in at the resort. After resting for a while, enjoy a boat ride on the scenic Munnar Lake. Also known as Kundala Lake, Munnar Lake is situated at 1700 meters above sea level and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape. The evening is booked for exploring the local markets of Munnar.

Come back to the resort for a night’s stay.

Day 7: Munnar-

Today, you can either choose to relax or explore some of the best attractions of Munnar. Waterfalls, Echo Point, Eravikulam National Park, and the local tea plantations are some places you cannot avoid on a Goa Kerala tour. First, visit the Lakkam waterfalls to refresh your mind and witness natural beauty. Next, visit Echo Point to experience the natural phenomenon of echoing. Also, head to Eravikulam National Park and see the rare species of Nilgiri Tahr. If you get lucky enough, you can witness the blooming of Neelakurinji (which blooms once in 12 years) in the green valley and the great views of tea plants in the park.

Day 8: Munnar - Periyar (85 km/ 3 hours)-

Post breakfast, drive to the Periyar National Park. On reaching, check-in at the nearby forest lodge. In the afternoon, go boating on Periyar Lake. Enjoy boating on the tranquil water while exploring the rich flora and fauna in the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The park is also home to the Sambar deer, elephants, and Indian bison. Next, continue to the north to reach the Kumily village to explore the spice plantation and market.

After a fun-filled day, return to your hotel and enjoy a comfy sleep.

Day 9: Periyar - Kottayam (107 km / 3 hours)-

On the 9th day of your Goa and Kerala itinerary, check out and enjoy a scenic drive to Kottayam from Periyar. Upon arrival, board the traditional houseboat (Kettuvallam) for an overnight backwater cruise. Sail through the picturesque village, paddy fields, charming churches, and temples. Enjoy the soothing environment and spot colorful birds in the sky, fishes diving around your houseboat, and the locals indulging in their daily work. Spend the evening stargazing from the deck while savoring traditional food.

Day 10: Arrive Alleppey - Kovalam-

Today, when you open your eyes, your houseboat will have reached Alleppey. Continue your journey towards Kovalam enjoying the lush greenery. Sail through the lakes and lagoons in the shade of coconut groves. Enjoy your lunch on board and reach Kovalam in the afternoon. On reaching, move to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Kovalam-

Day 11 of your Goa Kerala Tour is free to relax at the picturesque Kovalam Beach, a confluence of Lighthouse Beach, Hawa Beach, and Samudra Beach. Here you can swim, stroll on the beach, and soothe your senses with Ayurvedic massage therapies.

Enjoy an overnight stay in Kovalam.

Day 12: Kovalam-

After a tasty breakfast, pamper your senses with an herbal oil Ayurvedic massage in the morning. Then, spend the rest of the day watching the interplay of sand and surf. Also, enjoy your time in nature during the evening walk and relax on the silver-white sand. The palm-backed beach also offers authentic Kerala dishes available at the beach restaurants. Day 13: Kovalam to Trivandrum for Departure-

After a farewell breakfast, leave for the Thiruvananthapuram Airport from Kovalam by road. On reaching there, board a flight towards your onward destination.
