Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

After late evening arrival in Delhi, meet an IHPL representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi

After breakfast on day 2, visit the well-known tourist attractions of Old and New Delhi. First in line are New Delhi attractions including Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, Parliament area and Humayun's Tomb. In the afternoon, post lunch explore the attractions of Old Delhi such as Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Gandhi memorial. Stay overnight.

Day 3: Delhi - Leh

On the 3rd day of the tour, get on-time transfer to the airport to board a flight to Leh. Once you reach, get an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is free to get acclimatized with the high altitudes. The evening is free to take a stroll around the market. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Leh

Have breakfast and proceed for sightseeing. Visit the well-known monasteries of the region- Shey, Thiksey, Spituk and Hemis. Shey Monastery, constructed in 1655, is popular for housing a gilded gold statue of a seated Shakyamuni Buddha. Thiksey monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Yellow Hat sect has a similar architecture as Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. Hemis is the largest and wealthiest monastery in India. Spituk monastery, founded in the 11th century, every year plays host to the Gustor festival. Back to hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Leh - Kargil

Today, begin driving to Kargil. On the way, explore Alchi Monastery. Also known as Alchi Choskhor, it is one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh. Upon arrival in Kargil, check- in your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities- interact with the locals, admire the surrounding local scenery or taste the local delicacies. Stay overnight.

Day 6: Kargil – Rangdum

Have breakfast on the 6th day of the tour, begin driving southwards into the beautiful valley that leads you to Rangdum. On arrival, check-in your camps. The rest of the day is free- explore the surrounding on foot, admire the surrounding scenery, take a leisure walk etc. Overnight camping.

Day 7: Rangdum - Padum

On the 7th day of the tour after breakfast, begin driving to Padum that brings you to the mesmerizing Zanskar valley. Once you reach, complete the check-in formalities at your camps. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities- admiring the local scenery, taking a leisurely walk, and more. Overnight stay in camp.

Day 8: Padum - Mune (3900 meters)

After breakfast, begin trekking towards Mune – a small village (around 7 hours). On arrival, settle into your pre-booked camps. The rest of the day is free- explore the surrounding on foot, admire the surrounding mesmerizing scenery, indulge in fun activities. You can also visit Mune gonpas, known as the Disketling, erected by the Boddhisattva Sherab Zangpo. These gonpas belonging to Yellow hat sect are home to around 25 monks. Meal and overnight stay in camp.

Day 9: Mune - Dortzon

Post breakfast on the 9th day of the tour, begin your trek up to Dortzon (around 7 hours). Set your camp, on arrival. Spend the day at leisure- admiring the surrounding beauty, indulging in the activities of your interest, exploring the surroundings on foot etc. Overnight in camp.

Day 10: Dortzon – Purne

Begin your trek to Purne, one of the larger villages (around 6 hours), on day 10 of the tour. You may cross certain difficult areas so you should be careful and cautious. Once you arrive, check-in your camp. Enjoy the scenic beauty of this spot. Explore the surroundings on foot. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 11: Purne

Today, you embark on an excursion trek to Phuktal monastery, also known as Phugtal monastery. Located on the mouth of the cave, this monastery was erected during the 12th century. This monastery, housing a library and few prayer rooms, is home to around 70 monks. Back to Purne to spend the night in the camp.

Day 12: Purne - Thable

On day 12, have your breakfast and begin trekking up to Thable (around 6 hours). The trek is going to be an interesting one. Check-in your camp, on arrival. Take rest and later explore the surroundings on foot, treat your eyes to the local scenery etc. Overnight in the camp.

Day 13: Thable - Gomborajan

The morning of day 13 is for relaxing at the camp. Post lunch, begin trek to Gomborajan (around 4 hrs). On reaching, check-in your camp. The evening is free to explore the surroundings on foot. Enjoy the snow spread all around. Overnight in camp.

Day 14: Gomborajan - Lakong (4470 meters)

Today, after breakfast, start trekking to Lakong, over Shingo La. During the trek, you enjoy an amazing view of the snow peaks surrounding the area. Once you reach, check-in your camp. The day is free- relax for a while before you begin exploring the surroundings on foot. Overnight in the camp.

Day 15: Lakong - Chuminakpo

Have your breakfast and begin an upward trek to Chuminakpo (around 8 hours) on day 15 of the tour. On reaching, settle into your camps. During the trek, enjoy an amazing view of the beautiful scenery. Explore the surroundings on foot. Overnight in the camp.

Day 16: Chuminakpo - Zanskar Sumdo

On the 16th day of the tour, begin trekking up to the beautiful Zanskar Sumdo, the meeting point of two water sources. On arrival, check-in your camps. Enjoy the view, admire the local scenery, explore the surroundings on foot. Stay overnight at the camp.

Day 17: Zanskar Sumdo - Palamu

After breakfast on the 17th day of the tour, begin trekking up to Palamu (around 4 hours). On reaching, check-in your camp. As the journey is going to be an upward one, you need to be slightly careful and a little slow. Spend overnight in the camp.

Day 18: Palamu - Darcha

Once you have breakfast, begin your trekking up to Darcha, a small village on day 18. This is your last trek route of the tour. After arrival, settle into your camps. Relax for some time and then explore the surroundings on foot. Admire the beautiful local scenery sprinkled all around. Stay overnight at the camp.

Day 19: Darcha - Manali

Today, after breakfast, you begin driving to Manali. Cross the Rohtang pass, at an altitude of 3987 meters to enter the Kullu valley. Once you arrive, complete the check-in formalities at your pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Explore the surroundings on foot or simply relax in your room. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 20: Manali

On day 20 have breakfast and get ready to explore Manali. Shop at the local bazaar, admire the surrounding scenery, indulge in sightseeing visiting the well-known Hadimba temple and other attractions. Stay overnight.

Day 21:Manali

On day 21, visit Rohtang pass where you can indulge in fun activities such as Igloo making, trekking, skiing etc. Visit Vasishth Temple and Hot Springs. This temple is dedicated to Rishi Vasishth, one of the seven sages of India. Take a dip in the hot spring water. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 22: Manali - Nalagarh

Once you have breakfast, begin driving to Nalagarh, a heritage site. Also known as Nawalgarh, it was established by the Chandella Rajputs. Indulge in sightseeing, which may include Nalagarh fort, Ramgarh Fort, Yadavindra Gardens etc. Upon arrival, check- in your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 23: Nalagarh - Delhi
